One Health conference in Montpellier highlights integrated approaches to vector-borne diseases
On 9 April 2026, the conference “One Health: multiple solutions for the prevention, control and elimination of vector-borne diseases” will take place at the Maison des Relations Internationales in Montpellier. Organised by the Institut de recherche pour le développement (IRD) and partners within the framework of the One Health Summit, the event will bring together researchers, public health actors and institutional stakeholders to discuss integrated strategies to tackle vector-borne diseases.
The programme will combine institutional sessions, research presentations and artistic contributions illustrating the One Health concept. Experts will present biomedical, environmental, social science and technological approaches, including remote sensing tools for epidemiological surveillance. A roundtable discussion will also explore practical experiences implementing One Health solutions and the factors influencing their success in different contexts.
