Open science
INOVEC fully supports the EU’s Open Science Policy and adheres to Research Integrity standards by prioritizing Open Science practices. As a project funded by Horizon Europe, emphasis is placed on Open Science, Open Access, citizen engagement, inter-sectoral participation, and efficient Data Management.
Non-sensitive data in the project will be openly shared to accelerate research progress, while sensitive data, such as patent-related results, will be handled appropriately. All research outputs and knowledge sharing within INOVEC will adhere to the guidelines set forth by the FAIR (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reuse) principle.
To disseminate the project’s findings, public platforms such as Vectorbase, ECDC/VectorNet, WIN network, and the Global Vector Hub will be utilized. These platforms enable the sharing of bioinformatics, genomic sequences, vector presence data, resistance databases, and other research materials.
The Mosquito Alert platform, hosted by the partner CSIC in Spain, will facilitate the sharing of mosquito surveillance results, including citizen science data management and procedures.
INOVEC uses Zenodo to publish project data, ensuring it meets the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). By applying detailed metadata for each dataset, we enhance discoverability and make data freely accessible for researchers, promoting transparency and reuse. All datasets are stored on Zenodo, supporting open access and visibility.
